Fabric of Expression
A short documentary showcasing the fashion design course at London Metropolitan University.
The film explores expression and the challenges one must face in order to design a collection. We follow Goziey, Emelie and Abbey over the course of a year as they explore their creative identities.
At the core of the documentary lies hard driven students, a youthful community and the university’s involvement in the industry. The tutors, workshops, graduates, studios and equipment are all used as stepping stones for these students to pull together their collections. We explore the richness of London, live projects, alumni works and creative hurdles all as a means of introducing the fashion designer lifestyle to prospective students.
